Created in 2012, the Turquoise Waterfall Necklace is one of Sandia Dublin’s signature designs and a defining piece from Betzy Nina’s early exploration of sculptural contemporary jewellery. Inspired by the movement and beauty of falling water, the necklace captures the energy of waterfalls found across both Venezuela and Ireland—two countries with very different climates, landscapes and natural environments, yet connected by their dramatic waterways.

The vibrant turquoise colour reflects the crystal-clear waters and tropical landscapes of Venezuela’s Caribbean coast, while the flowing form echoes Ireland’s wild Atlantic scenery, lush valleys and cascading streams shaped by a cooler, changing climate. Designed to resemble water flowing from the neckline, this lightweight sculptural piece transforms colour, movement and material into a contemporary expression of the connection between two cultures that continue to inspire Sandia Dublin’s creative identity.
